Marketing Manager

Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of a MARKETING MANAGER for the Belgroves Group of Companies.

 

The Belgroves Group of Companies is an organization with over 130 years of experience in the service industry. The Group consists of five service companies which include funeral service management, preplanning services, manufacturing, cemetery management and digital production.

 

The Belgroves Group of Companies owes its success to the efficiency of its organizational processes and its people. To help maintain and grow these standards, the company is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead its Marketing team.


The ideal candidate is a highly creative self-motived individual with exceptional communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. The successful candidate should possess the ability to understand and analyze trends with a deep understanding of a wide variety of marketing channels.


This position will be based in San Fernando

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing a strategic marketing plan, for the group designed to develop and manage marketing programmes in specific channels, support business objectives, lead acquisitions, foster customer retention, execute business development, provide sales support, advance SEO optimization, and advance brand building. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate with an emphasis on social media, E-commerce and M-commerce.

 

All activities performed by the Marketing Manager must be geared towards maintaining the highest level of service to both internal and external stakeholders and must conform to Internal Auditing standards and guidelines and to all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Manager include but are not limited to:

Leadership and Management of Resources

  • Clearly define and communicate marketing objectives to all members of the department.

  • Lead the marketing team including but not limited to training, coaching, planning, evaluating, rewarding, disciplining, and overseeing employee relations for the department

  • Foster a performance driven work environment by developing and implementing performance standards to enhance the effectiveness of each employee

  • Develop and enforce department SOPs for each work task or process

  • Develop and manage staff KPIs and conduct performance evaluations with the guidance of the Human Resource Department to ensure set objectives are consistently met by the team

  • Prepare monthly reports on the department’s operations based on set KPIs

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the department

  • Provide a motivating work environment to support the team and other departments where necessary and perform other related duties required to assist in the operations of the group. 

 

Effectively manage marketing strategies to retain current customers and grow market share

  • Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of the group’s overall strategic marketing plan

  • Market through various channels and segment databases working with large data sets

  • Develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing tactics

  • Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications

  • Manage the day to day relationship with our key partners, stakeholders and vendors to ensure quality service delivery

  • Develop and implement go to market strategies to allow the organization to enter new lines of business

  • Plan and execute all aspects of the digital marketing strategy including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.

  • Design, build and maintain the group’s social media presence

  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimize user funnels

  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights

  • Ensure the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators of the company by providing inputs for the development of an annual budget, scheduling expenditure, analyzing, and reporting on variances and implementing corrective action

  • Measure and report performance for all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs)

  • Monitor costing and pricing

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

    

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Management/Administration or Marketing
  • BA or BSc in Business Administration/Management or Marketing
  • Professional Certification in Marketing
  • Certificate in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
  • Certificate in Web Development
  • Certification in Front End Web Development, including CSS3, HTML 5, Bootstrap 4 and SQL
  • Certificate in Project Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (word, excel, power point) Experience

 

 

Experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Marketing
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Digital Marketing
  • Minimum of three (5) years’ Management experience, preferably in the retail industry

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive experience in managing partner relationships
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Experience in digital and direct response marketing
  • Proven leadership ability to manage a marketing team
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics
  • Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities
  • Strong ability to optimize landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, Constant Contact)
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Excellent Time Management, Customer Service skills and Analytical skills
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS suite
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to operate independently and as part of a team while managing several responsibilities
