Wednesdays - September 18th, 25 and October 2nd, 2024 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Programme Objective:

The objective of this Programme is to prepare or re-orient you for world of work by:

1. Exploring various career paths
2. Identifying what your résumé should contain
3. Discussing what you can do now to be more marketable in the future
4. Preparing you to ace your next job interview
5. Sharing tips on overcoming interview anxiety (includes a practical session)
6. Helping you adopt a positive attitude toward work and
7. Providing guidance on dealing with workplace pressure.

We will cover:

1. What should your résumé include?
2. Preparing Your Cover Letter
3. Submitting Your Job Application
4. What can you do now so you can be more marketable in the future?
5. What skills and competencies are employers looking for?
6. Goals to achieve those skills and qualifications
7. Executing Your Goals and Staying Motivated
8. Getting the Interview Call
9. Conducting Your Research
10. Creating a positive first impression (what you wear, how you speak and body language)
11. Overcoming Interview Anxiety and Nervousness
12. Answering frequently asked Interview Questions
13. One-on-One Interview Practice Session (to be scheduled with each participant)
14. What to expect when you start to work?
15. Adjusting Your Attitude Toward Work
16. Coping with Workplace Pressure

Delivery Method and Style:

1. This is an online Programme to be delivered via Zoom.
2. The sessions will be practical, fun and engaging.
3. All participants are encouraged to ask and respond to questions, share experiences and participate in the Programme's activities.
4. Programme activities include preparing or revising your résumé, career plan and personal skills evaluation.
5. This programme also includes a 1-on-1 interview practice session.
6. Your video does not have to be on but you are encouraged to share via audio or the chat.
7. Manuals and Certificate will be sent to you via post. The manual is original, well-researched and prepared by Office Gems. Each participant will receive an e-certificate from Office Gems upon completion of the Series.
