Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of MERCHANDISING SPECIALISTS for a Trade Marketing Company with over 15 years’ experience in the Merchandising industry.

These Merchandising Specialists are needed to work in geographic locations across Trinidad.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working with a team of Merchandisers who are assigned to Stores in your geographic area.
2. Monitoring the displays of the Merchandisers, ensuring that they are in good condition and have been updated with new merchandise as needed.
3. Maintaining relationships with Store Owners/Managers to ensure that products are ordered and stocked.
4. Monitoring sales data to identify which products are selling well and which need to be restocked or removed from the shelves.
5. Ensuring that product prices are clearly marked and that items are properly displayed.
6. Training and supervising Merchandisers to ensure that all Stores in your area run smoothly.
7. Scheduling the working hours of the Merchandisers to ensure optimal coverage during busy shopping periods

Requirements

1. A minimum of three (3) CSEC/ CXC/ O’Level subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
2. At least three (3) years’ prior experience in Merchandising.
3. Must own a vehicle to be able to navigate among Stores in your geographic area and outside of that area as needed.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. A proven track record of demonstrating excellent Customer Service .
6. The ability to work in a Fast Paced Fast Moving Consumer Goods environment.
7. Supervisory experience will be an asset.
8. Candidates must have:
   • An active bank account
   • NIS and BIR numbers
   • A smartphone

Working hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily including Saturdays.
