Scheduling and Logistics Team Lead





Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of a SCHEDULING & LOGISTICS TEAM LEAD for one of our clients in the service sector.


The Scheduling and Logistics Team Lead reports to the Directors, Operations Manager, Operations & HSE Administrator and Senior Management Team.


He/she will supervise Dispatchers, Drivers, Lorry Men and Scheduling & Logistics Service Personnel


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Scheduling & Logistics Team Lead will be to:

  1. Create daily work schedules
  2. Monitor service performance during the day and intervene when necessary
  3. Along with the Operations Manager and Operations and HSE Administrator, ensure a competent workforce is available to carry out services.
  4. Ensure along with the Operations Manager that all clients’ criteria for performance of service are met and exceeded.
  5. Ensure service reports are generated on the day with the exception of Sunday and public holidays.
  6. Ensure Drivers and Lorry men have the necessary training and orientation to carry out the required services.
  7. Uphold, enforce and champion HSE in the workplace.
  8. Report accidents or incidents on/off clients’ sites and action remediation.
  9. Conduct Toolbox Meetings ensuring the messages reach the Drivers and Lorry Men.
  10. Schedule and monitor sanitizing of equipment on clients’ sites.
  11. Liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  12. Attend site visits when required and meet with clients in person or virtually.
  13. Monitor and track services for Turnaround from start to finish.
  14. Ensure that all paperwork is received and forwarded for timely reconciliation of services performed.
  15. Ensure that clients’ needs are met in regards to Equipment, HSSE Requirements and service requests during Turnaround.
  16. Liaise with Landfill personnel to arrange special disposal requests and follow up for necessary paperwork following completion.
  17. Any other tasks as requested by Senior Management and Directors.


REQUIREMENTS:

  1. At least a Diploma in Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 CXC/CSEC subjects.
  3. At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar position.
  4. Experience at a Supervisory Level will be an asset.
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Organised.
  8. Problem-solving skills
  9. Analytical and critical thinking skills
  10. Police Certificate of Good Character
  11. Valid driver’s license


A suitable combination of experience and training will be considered.
