Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of a TRAINEE PASTRY CHEF for Safran Patisserie in Chaguanas.

The duties of the Pastry Chef include but are not limited to:

1. Work under the guidance of the chefs to prepare a variety of desserts and pastries.
2. Decorate and present pastries and desserts in a tasteful and elegant manner.
3. Monitoring ingredient levels, ensuring that there is always an adequate supply for use by the Chefs.
4. Ensuring that the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

1. Certificate in Food Preparation or Baking or a similar area from a recognised institution.
2. At least three (3) CXC/CAPE subjects, including English Language
3. Training and/or experience in Food Service will be an asset.
4. Must be able to read and execute recipes
5. Knowledge of pastry techniques and mediums
6. 100% committed to the job
7. Willing to learn and adapt to the job
