Receptionist: Belgroves Group of Companies (Trincity and San Fernando)





Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of a RECEPTIONIST for the Belgrove's Group of Companies.

ONE POSITION WILL BE BASED IN SAN FERNANDO AND THE OTHER IN TRINCITY.


The Receptionist will be the first point of contact of clients and visitors (face-to-face or on the telephone).


Principal Responsibilities: Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Warmly and professionally greeting visitors to the Unit.
  2. Identifying the needs of the visitors/clients and coordinating between them and the relevant staff to have these needs addressed.
  3. Providing hospitality services to the visitors.
  4. Attending to all incoming telephone calls by handling the issue, transferring the call or taking and relaying messages.
  5. Sensitizing visitors about Belgroves’ products or services.
  6. Assisting team members with funeral-related documentation including but not limited to Purchase Orders, Funeral Notices, Funeral Programmes and Accolades.
  7. Performing basic administrative duties such as photocopying, handling incoming mail, outgoing mail, records management and scheduling appointments.
  8. Complying with all company policies, procedures and processes


Qualifications and Experience:

  1. At least an Associate Degree in Business Management, Administration or a related field.
  2. Minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC subjects, two of which must be English Language and Mathematics.
  3. Certification in Customer Service will be an asset.
  4. At least two (2) years’ experience in the service industry


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Strong written and oral communication skills, written and oral.
  2. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to listen empathically.
  3. Computer Literate/Microsoft Office Literate.
  4. Must be emotionally intelligent.
  5. You must have an honest and highly confidential disposition.


A suitable combination of qualifications and skills will also be considered for this position.


Candidates will be scheduled to work shifts within a six (6) day work week.
