Accounts Manager - Schools





Office Gems and Caribbean Careers are facilitating the recruitment of an ACCOUNTS MANAGER - SCHOOLS for one of our clients.


​POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounts Manager - Schools is a personable and results-driven professional responsible for promoting and securing the adoption of locally published textbooks and educational materials within schools across Trinidad and Tobago. The role focuses on building strong relationships within the academic sector, understanding curriculum needs, and positioning our client's publications as essential learning tools in classrooms nationwide.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities include

• Building and maintaining relationships with Principals, Heads of Departments, Teachers, and other school decision-makers.

• Promoting and presenting our client's textbooks to primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.

• Organizing school visits, product presentations, and curriculum alignment meetings.

• Distributing sample books, gathering feedback, and following up to encourage adoption.

• Staying updated on Ministry of Education guidelines and curriculum requirements to align sales efforts.

• Representing our client at education-related events, expos, and stakeholder forums.

• Maintaining accurate records of school contacts, adoption status, and follow-up schedules.

• All other related duties.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

• Two to three (2 to 3) years' experience in sales, education publishing, or academic engagement.

• Familiarity with the Trinidad and Tobago education system is a strong asset.

• Comfortable with public speaking and product presentations.

• Retired teachers with strong knowledge of the education system are encouraged to apply. Basic sales training will be provided.

• A suitable combination of qualifications and experience will be considered.


Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Relationship-focused with a consultative sales approach.

• Excellent organization and follow-through.

• Self-motivated and able to manage territory and schedule independently.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. CRM use is a plus.

• Willingness to travel across Trinidad & Tobago.
