About Workplace Gems Administrative Internship Programme (Parent)
As parents, we all strive to provide our children with the best possible opportunities to succeed in life. For me, one of the biggest challenges I faced early in my career was the lack of work experience, which often became a stumbling block during job interviews. I was determined that my son would not face the same disappointment.
While browsing through Facebook, I came across the Workplace Gems Internship Programme and was immediately intrigued by what it offered. I reached out to Ms. Kelly, who patiently addressed all my questions. After careful consideration, his father and I agreed that our son should participate in the training. That decision proved invaluable. Shortly after, he attended a job interview and secured an internship with a reputable Insurance Agency. My son, who is usually quiet and reserved, began to display a new level of responsibility and dedication. The training equipped him with the necessary tools to transition into the workplace with confidence, making his first real-world experience less stressful and far more rewarding.
What stood out most for me was the programme’s emphasis on job interview preparation and office readiness. These elements gave him a strong foundation to navigate workplace challenges effectively. If I may suggest one area for enhancement, it would be to schedule follow-up sessions closer together, so that important concepts remain fresh. Additionally, including training on handling workplace sexual harassment would be a valuable addition.
Would I recommend the Workplace Gems Internship Programme? Absolutely! I already have, because I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact it has on young people. In conclusion, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Kelly Ann Connelly-Monsegue and her dedicated team for making this programme possible. Sincerely,
Mrs. Veronica Steeling (Parent)
